About CSA – Compliance Safety Accountability
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) established CSA to identify and correct high-risk carriers and drivers, with the goal of improving highway safety.  Individual elements of the CSA program are updated regularly. In January and February 2012, FMCSA has published this new information:

• Carriers’ Safety Measurement System (SMS) results were posted. The new SMS relies heavily on roadside inspections, and replaces the SafeStat system.
• Fact sheets on two Behavioral Analysis Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs) – Driver Fitness and Fatigued Driving
