May 8 - 14: Load Volume Down 0.3%, Capacity Gains 3.0% Week Over Week.
Freight Trend of the Month
For the month of April, freight volume increased 12% compared to the previous month, and 12% compared to April 2011 on the DAT network of load boards. Truck capacity also rose, gaining 3.0% month-over-month, and 13% compared to April 2011. Fuel prices averaged the same cost compared to the previous month and increased 0.5% (just $0.02) compared to April 2011.
