Flatbed Rate Average Remains High
Aug 6 - 12 - The national average rate for flatbeds declined 3¢ to $2.19 per mile. That's still a high rate, as the previous week experienced the highest rate average in more than 2 years. For details, see the Rate Trend of the Week on the Freight Talk blog.

July Flatbed Rate Sets Two-Year Record

July flatbed rates rose 3¢ compared to June. The July national average of $2.20 per mile set a two-year record, with a 27¢ increase over July 2016.
