Spot market still waiting for holiday retail push

National Spot Rates: Van, Flatbed, Reefer

Rates decline from September averages

Oct 7-13 - Often freight volumes rise this time of year as retailers gear up for the holiday season, but truckload demand took a dip last week. As a result, rates declined on many high traffic lanes. National van and reefer rates are now lower than September averages, while the average flatbed rate is up 1¢.
