AscendTMS Integrates DAT RateView into TMS Platform

PORTLAND, Ore.,— DAT Freight & Analytics today announced that its RateView pricing analysis and forecasting tool is now embedded within AscendTMS, a web-based transportation management software suite that’s accessible on most any internet-connected device.

The integration allows AscendTMS to access all of RateView’s truckload pricing tools directly from within the TMS, including three-day average lane rates, once they have purchased a DAT RateView subscription. When working with a load, AscendTMS customers simply need to click on “Get DAT Rates” to view RateView’s pricing data.

DAT offers AscendTMS at no additional cost to DAT TruckersEdge, Express and Power carrier customers. They can log into AscendTMS, search for loads, and post their trucks, as they would inside their DAT load board app or desktop product.

AscendTMS integration with DAT RateView will allow carriers to streamline their workflow by obtaining near real-time rates to quote potential shipper and broker business prospects, providing the carrier more confidence in the spot market” said Mark Bryant, VP of Technology.

Industry professionals cannot afford to leave money on the table when negotiating spot or contract rates,” said Tim Higham, President and CEO of AscendTMS. “DAT’s powerful RateView pricing tools are proven, accurate and instill immense confidence with AscendTMS users.

RateView was established in 2010 and sets the industry standard for freight rate data. It converts hundreds of billions of dollars in completed freight transactions into the most up-to-date insights and intelligence available for carriers, brokers and shippers across more than 68,000 lanes.
