SEATTLE, Wash., June 23, 2026 — DAT Freight & Analytics was named Workplace of the Year at the 2026 GeekWire Awards, held in May at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle. The award recognizes companies that have built an exceptional workplace culture.
DAT was selected from a field of five finalists, including the Allen Institute for AI, Carbon Robotics, Humanly, and Yoodli. Now in its 18th year, the GeekWire Awards honor the top companies, leaders, and breakthroughs in Pacific Northwest tech.
The recognition follows a stretch in which DAT brought several companies into the fold over 18 months, including two with deep Seattle roots: Outgo, a financial services business that helps trucking companies get paid faster, and Convoy Platform, an automated freight-matching technology. Both brought talent that DAT folded in without uprooting: the company opened a Seattle office last year to keep those teams close to home.
DAT technology includes marketplaces connecting truckers and transportation buyers; analytics that price freight in real time; automation that matches loads to trucks; fintech that enables fast payments; and load tracking from pickup to delivery.
“We’ve been at the center of freight transactions for nearly 50 years, and today we’re growing faster than ever,” said Jana Galbraith, Chief People Officer at DAT. “We offer a place to work on systems that make a difference in the physical economy, at a company with the scale and stability to see the work through.”
DAT was also named a best place to work in Colorado and Seattle by Built In earlier this year.
