PORTLAND, Ore.—In a year when freight volumes on the DAT Network of load boards has set records for eight consecutive months, DAT Solutions announced that its Extended Network has added significant capacity. The additional capacity comes from the 110,000 users of MyDAT Trucker, a free mobile app, complementing DAT Power, Express, and TruckersEdge load boards as well as MembersEdge, the official load board of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA).
The 110,000 users include commercial truck drivers, owner-operators, and private fleets. MyDAT Trucker helps users find truck stops, rest areas, Walmarts, and repair services. MyDAT Trucker also uses the latest geo-location technology to provide access to nearby loads available on DAT load boards.
"We’ve experienced extra call volume when we post our loads to the DAT Extended Network," said Sara Hildreth of Worldwide Logistics, a 3PL in Urbandale, Iowa. “Owner-operators using the MyDAT Trucker app can find high-quality loads on their phone and book a job at the push of a button wherever they may be, without having to be at a desk or rely on others."
Introduced in May 2011, MyDAT Trucker remains one of the few trucking apps to top 150,000 downloads. Installations of MyDAT Trucker have more than doubled in the past two years and it’s one of the top-rated trucking apps on Google Play (for Android smart phones and tablets) and iTunes (for Apple iPhones and iPads).
