Flatbed rates continue seasonal decline

Nov 4 - 10 - Flatbed rates slipped further last week, in a typical seasonal trend. The national average lost another 2¢, falling to $2.43 per mile. There was, however, a 2% increase in the national load-to-truck ratio. For details, see the Rate Trend of the Week on the Freight Talk blog.

Flatbeds drop another 8¢ in October

The national average flatbed rate dropped another 8¢ in October compared to September, landing at $2.47 per mile. Despite the declining trend, the monthly rate was still 14¢ higher than the average for October 2017.
