Spring Harvests Push Up Reefer Rate

May 6 - 12 - The national average reefer rate increased 1¢ to $2.49 per mile, which is 6¢ above the April average and 50¢ higher than one year ago. The national load-to-truck ratio for reefers declined last week.

April Reefer Rate Adds 3¢

In April, the national average reefer rate was $2.43 per mile. That was 3¢ higher than the March average. Compared to April 2017, the rate was 49¢ higher.
