PORTLAND, Ore.,— DAT Solutions LLC has announced its official name change to DAT Freight & Analytics. This change better reflects DAT’s deep expertise in both trucking and logistics, emphasizing the company’s two business lines: “Freight” through the world’s largest load board, and “Analytics” through a suite of data products under DAT iQ.
Jeff Hopper, Chief Marketing Officer of DAT Freight & Analytics said: “This change is overdue. Freight & Analytics is what we’re known for, and have specialized in for 42 years. We have more freight data than any other freight intelligence provider and with data, bigger is better.”
In an uncertain and volatile market, DAT removes the uncertainty from freight by providing the intelligence and freight services – in one place – that companies need to successfully operate their transportation supply chain at a profit, regardless of the current climate.”
This year, DAT’s growth and evolution has accelerated further through new product releases such as Book Now, Ratecast and MCI, a new mobile app – DAT One, and the acquisition of Freight Market Intelligence Consortium (FMIC) from Chainalytics. This acquisition added $50 billion in transaction data, expanding DAT’s expertise from its industry-leading benchmarking solution in the spot market, into the contract market.
DAT has access to more carriers and trucks than any other freight matching provider in the country. Every year, hundreds of millions of loads are posted on the industry’s largest load board, resulting in more than 52 million transactions taking place across 68,000 lanes.
