Avoid unnecessary delays and have all your necessary forms ready as soon as you get to the border with GeTS.
Cross-border freight requires legal clearance in order to be transported internationally. DAT partner Global eTrade Services (GeTS) allows you to cross the U.S.-Canada border as smoothly as possible, without unnecessary delays.
Using GeTS cross-border transportation services, you can make sure your eManifest and ACE/ACI documents are filled out correctly and submitted ahead of time — at least an hour before crossing the border — for a more efficient, stress-free process that lets you spend more time transporting goods and less time navigating paperwork at the border.

Cross-border shipping is a necessary part of the global economy, bringing freight across the U.S.-Canada border on a daily basis. Truckers using cross-border transportation need to make sure they have more than just a passport — the proper freight-related documents are necessary for Canadian and American authorities. Specifically, an eManifest (called an ACE/ACI in Canada) is required from customs and border protection, which must be submitted to border authorities before each border crossing. Luckily, filling out an eManifest is simple with help from DAT partner Global eTrade Services (GeTS).
An electronic manifest (eManifest) is required for any carrier who is transporting commercial freight across the U.S.-Canada border. On the Canadian side, an eManifest is called an ACE/ACI manifest. Both of these documents ensure a legal border crossing, so that freight can be cleared through customs quickly and without fines. Global eTrade Services (GeTS) offers professional assistance for fast and accurate eManifests.
The eManifest is the main document necessary for all cross-border freight, but cross-border truckers will also need to register a Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) before transporting freight internationally. A valid SCAC is issued by the CBP, and is used to identify American carriers who are qualified for cross-border transportation. Keep in mind that getting your SCAC code does not replace the need for your American MC and DOT numbers.
GeTS provides complete cross-border shipping services, so you’ll never have to worry about accidentally breaking any laws in cross-border shipping. GeTS offers real-time tracking as your freight goes through customs right from your DAT mobile app, plus alerts via text or email whenever there’s an update.
GeTS’ flexible cross-border shipping services start at $19 per month for self-filing, or $50 per month for complete managed services. With GeTS, you can track shipping labels (PAPS and PARS), fill out and submit eManifests, and manage your freight through the entire cross-border journey.
