This week is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. We asked drivers to tell us some of the things that make their day, and each day this week we’re going to share a different way to show your appreciation to a truck driver.

Fair Compensation

Truck drivers have unique skillsets, and with the shortage of new drivers entering the industry, those skills are increasingly rare in today’s work force. That’s why driver retention is a key concern for carriers, and it’s why drivers deserve to be well-compensated for the specialized service that they provide, whether that means getting paid by the hour or by the mile.

Drivers tend to stay with a company that show that their work is appreciated, and paying a wage that underscores the value of that work is one way to show that appreciation.
