On Christmas Day 2020 at 14:00 ET, I pulled a lawn chair outside at my in-laws’ house and started scheduling appointments. My operations team was out for the holidays, and we had seen a massive influx of EOY shipments that had to be off the dock before the year closed. I scheduled appointments for 36 hours straight. That’s just how holiday season is, though. When it comes to freight, this truly is the most wonderful time of year!
