DAT Days

< Back to posts

You may have noticed a few changes to our site this week… we’ve changed to DAT.com!

What do you think of our new look? We’ve given our site a great new design with lots of resources and product information in an easy-to-use layout.

Many of you can probably recall, with fondness, the early days of DAT. I can remember my first time being shown how an alarm match works and getting a truck within minutes. Maybe some of you remember stopping by Jubitz truck stop in the outskirts of Portland for a great sandwich at an even better price. Did you know that was the birthplace of the first loadboard? Check this out:

Hard to believe we’ve come so far, huh?

In the past 30 years the DAT Network has posted loads to bulletin boards, black and white TVs, desktop computers, laptops and now phones and tablets. I’ve been around the industry for 31 years as a dispatcher, analyst, part-time broker and even spotted a few trailers using an Ottawa tractor. I know how to separate the good from the bad… and DAT means business.

I’m proud to work as TransCore DAT’s Industry Pricing Analyst and work on a team dedicated to creating the industry’s smartest load board, rating tools and carrier monitoring tools.

Check out our new site, and let me know what you think! I’m always interested in what you have to say.
